PSR for next season on 16:09 - May 29 with 4077 views | JakeITFC | Roughly yes (and think that was Forest's point in appealing, that promoted sides are unfairly hamstrung in the PSR calcs) but alongside that whilst our cost base will increase massively, so will our revenue and so we still probably have a clear £100m or something to spend. The difficulty of course would be what our PSR allowance would be next year if we go down, and so that might curtail some of our spending.

Cost base will rise due to player wages, doesn't sound like backroom staff will need to expand too much, according to Ashton. Hopefully we're setting a sustainable wage benchmark for the coming season at least. What revenue did we turn over last season without TV money?
PSR for next season on 16:21 - May 29 with 3781 views | SmithersJones | Not sure where our “PSR Allowed” figure of £39m comes from. You’re allowed £35m for each season in the Prem and £13m in the Champ. I can never quite work out how League 1 is calculated (I think it’s related to income) but even if it were zero we’d be on £48m. The only thing I can think of is they’ve just taken the £13m pa in the Champ and multiplied it by three, which seems like a pretty basic error.

I think it might be right, but for the 23/24 season as finances for this season don't get submitted until early 2025? So this would be for the season just gone rather than next season in the Prem

It’s a right old mish mash isn’t it? You’re probably right in what you say, and the axis is labelled allowable losses for 2024 (which is in itself confusing) but which ever season it’s for they’ve got the teams wrong and, frankly, what’s the point of producing calculations for the season just finished if you’re going to put us and Leicester in? Either way I think we’re agreed that the figure for us next year will be considerably higher than what is listed.

Recent player sales...
PSR for next season on 16:59 - May 29 with 3181 views | OldFart71 | I think this all goes to show that our purchasing needs to be as Ashton said pretty spot on. Cannot afford to have players that will play little or no part in the season. We will need to step up hugely on our youth production as for many seasons we haven't produced enough players either able to step into the first team or sell on.

Presumably this was done prior to Sunday, at which stage only Leicester and Town were known as definite coming up.

Indeed. But Luton were already relegated. Would have made more sense only to show 19 teams.

PSR for next season on 09:54 - May 30 with 2124 views | xrayspecs | As others have posted, £20m looks about right for the season just ended. Next season we can lose £35m in the PL, compared to £13m per season in EFL. Our three year limit to this season is £39. Our income will be around £100m higher next season. Our existing player wage bill will be higher as players will/May have promotion related pay rises. Taking all this into account still leaves us circa £100m headroom for new signings and wages. Given transfer fees are charged to the accounts across the life time of the contract, only a proportion of the fee will appear on the accounts next season. You can play around will numbers but an example could be 10 new players on four year deals, each earning £20m and earning £60k per week. The cost on the accounts would be all of the annual wages (10 x £3m) and (25% x £200m) = £80m. The calculated gamble is that you stay up else will need player sales to balance books back in Championship.
