I really hope that he's got the deal he wants, that it gives him the financial security that he won't have had up to now.

He more than played his part in our promotion and deserves all he gets.

I couldn't wish more for him - one of life's genuine good guys.

Nah bger that. He was offered a deal he rejected it. Doubt it was pennies too.

He tried to get a better deal and has ended up a no 2 back in the championship.

Well done on being part of a promotion winning side but I don't get all this good luck stuff he decided to leave so bger him.

I doubt he’s got what he wanted, as he said he wanted to stay here. I still don’t understand how that didn’t happen if he wanted it. It seems odd to reject us. Naive or stupid? Who knows. He was great last year though and will go down in legend lore for some of our goals, so I wish him well but no more than that.

Each to their own but I don't really understand the well wishes to someone who was offered a contract by the club you support and they turned it down and went elsewhere. Seems a bit pointless. But that's just my view.

He can presumably move back to wherever he lived when he played for Salford if he liked it there.

You don’t get why one of last seasons key players leaves with most fans best regards, wishing him well?

Odd, very odd.

So you know the details of the contract Vs the one he was offered at Burnley?

No I don't see the need to post a good wishes post about a player who chose to leave the club to become a fee agent. Don't really understand the need for it. And find it odd myself why people do it. He chose to leave he wasn't let go.

Tbh not really interested now. He left town. Tried to go abroad, rejected those. Then spoke and Ended up at Burnley. He's got a gig that's cool. But he's just an ex town player who's got a new club.

You don’t know anything. But you come on here spouting this nonsense.

I get you’ve probably got your own issues but saying stuff like this doesn’t help.

No issues here thanks Stewart. Nothing I've written is nonsense its based solely on what ive read on twtd. Happy to be corrected incase I've mistaken what happened if you're happy to share.
If your issue is my personal belief about best wishes then I accept you don't agree with that opinion.

agents can be a handful in negotiations with clubs as we saw with Philogene and Downes, but ultimately theyre only acting on the players wishes, theyd soon be out of a job if they were taking it upon themselves to make their own deals against what the player wanted.

So whatever Town had offered, didnt suit the player, and it was left to the agent to try to bridge that gap however they could by playing this game of poker, bluff and who blinks first, ultimately no agreement could be reached, so weve parted ways with no hard feelings and warmest appreciation for the job Hladky did do for us as a player at this club.

"he's just an ex town player"

So that's how you feel about any player who has left town? You haven't once wanted Downes back, for example?

Every player from the last 2 season's squads deserve to go (when they go) with our thanks. It is because of them we are being spoken about in the same breath as Man Utd, Arsenal etc again. They have earnt our respect and should be shown it.
I never follow a player once he has left us, but the squads from the 2 previous season's deserve and have earnt a respectful goodbye.
Those who say differently, in my mind, aren't true Ipswich Town fans.

We know nothing about the deal that was on offer here compared to the deal he has with Burnley. The guy was never disrespectful and was a HUGE part in our promotion last year. How could you act like he's dead to you? It's a very childish point of view.

Why would I know what happened?

I’m not Hladky or his agent.

That’s my point.
