You do understand that most players don't actually start in the Premier League anyway?
Some come from from leagues abroad where the standards aren't always as good as the Championship either.

should we go for players like say Villa then? 50mil on Onana - would that be sufficient?
or Wan Bisaka from Utd? I suppose we could accommodate those prices and pay their wages couldn't we.
realistically, the prem players we could tempt to come here, would be players who are down the pecking order but still want their lions share of a high wage - look at Brandon Williams for a good example, previous prem experience, but we wouldn't be able to cover those high wages even now.
plus that would just cause other issues internally with disparity in pay.
