Imagine the uproar from certain sections of the media if Eddie Howe (for example) took the Germany job, and ended up singing 'Deutschlandlied'.

I've always been quite surprised when managers don't like to sing the national anthem of the team they're managing.

No one is asking you to change your nationality but by managing that side you're representing them so why not sing it. I'm not saying I'm fussed if they don't. Just surprised they don't.

It's more of an open question really rather than being fussed by it. Maybe it's because I personally just see as a song I don't hold it as anything else.

Some won't sing it on the basis they don't support the idea of a monarchy, on the other side of that, many will sing it even with no belief in God - why do they sing it if they have no faith?
