I was having the same thoughts as the original poster.

I get a Wolves win may be better for us but regardless what is happening with the administration of premier league. Firstly we get the ridiculous explanation for Delap's booking and then this. I wonder what Leicester think. Cunha and Ait Nouri were both out of control at the end of the game.

I guess the other 4 cards he picked up (often fairly unnecessarily) might have contrubuted too. As already pointed out, he missed 1 match but Cunha will miss several.

Have they actually made a decision on it yet? He had until 72 hours before today’s game to answer the charge, so one would assume there was plenty of time for the panel to make a decision. But there’s been no announcement, and there he is out there playing after assaulting a member of our staff, while we had to do without Delap for the crime of shouting at a Wolves player.

I doubt they’ll think it worth doing, but our club should make an official complaint about how this has been handled.

EDIT: as pointed out below I don't think there has been a decision yet, so no appeal. I guess a misconduct charge takes longer to hear and will have a lengthy ban associated to it.

ORIGINAL COMMENT FOR CONTEXT: There should be an additional ban for a frivolous appeal. Probably just 1 match which will make it worthwhile for Wolves to have appealed (effectively choosing which match he missed). It would be amusing if the frivolous appeal bit resulted in the length of the ban being doubled!

I don't think it's been appealed by Wolves as there's been no decision yet?

I don't think there is an appeals process as such, it's a case of whether the charge is contested or accepted. I saw something yesterday saying Wolves hadn't heard a verdict from the FA.
