| Red card on 21:33 - Jan 16 with 6225 views | WicklowBlue | Didn't think it was a red at all, deserved yellow. As the old saying goes, goals change games and certainly did tonight. We had no response at all which is concerning | | | |

Could have been if it was mor violent. Very unecisery though. I think it is a clear difference in level of violence and risking the opponents health

Awful 'challenge'. Virgo on co-comms saying 'when you challenge like that you're going to follow through into the opponent', or words to that effect. Newsflash: that is your responsibility. Is it endangering an opponent? Absolutely.

If his arm is a bit higher, it's a straight red I think he just about gets away with it but he is slightly fortunate

Turns to make sure his shoulder goes in first though doesn't he. Theres a hell of a lot of intent there.

Nope, not dangerous, just momentum. As the proper experts said. Yellow completely fair.

...near as damn it, watch the movement of Waltons head immediately after the impact and tell me it wasn't dangerous play.

Watched it again. Disgraceful. Clear red. Why has he jumped? Its not to get out of the way. Was it even var checked? Shouldnt he have been banned for an equally obnoxious attempt to cause injury the other week anyway? [Post edited 16 Jan 21:56]

He got a yellow, I just don't think it was red full stop. The commentator said the pace of the pass allowed the forward to have a go. Sorry more thing went wrong tonight than looking to having an oppo player sent off.
| Red card on 21:58 - Jan 16 with 5458 views | NthQldITFC | Eyes on Walton and a shoulder charge to the head - that's 10 mins in the bin in Rugby League, but football is a bit softer than RL, so I think it's red. Not exactly scientific, like, I admit. | |

Was VAR checked. Came up on the scoreboard that (paraphrasing) on field decision of yellow upheld as not violent conduct.

I thought that at the time, but watch it again. He makes no effort to avoid and actively jumps into Walton, shoulder first rather than even trying to slow down. Anywhere else on the pitch its a red. Even if there was no intent, its dangerous play.

"Sorry more thing went wrong tonight than looking to having an oppo player sent off." Absolutely, but, according to the thread title this one is about the potential red card. Theres loads of other threads about the other stuff, so I don't really understand the point you've tried to make there.

Doesnt have to be violent conduct to be a red of course... Typical var getout. [Post edited 16 Jan 22:01]

Chelters, my points were clear: a) Didn't think it was a red from in game and replays b) That incident did not determine the outcome of the game Anyways have a good night!
