Ben Johnson quietly having a decent second half of the season. 16:05 - Apr 13 with 2684 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Well I guess not so quietly today. We have got a lot of our points with him playing in front of Axel this season. Set up one, scored one, corners decent and a great ball into Hirst second half as well. Been banging this drum a while but he’d be a top player in the Championship.

Ben Johnson quietly having a decent second half of the season. on 16:08 - Apr 13 with 2126 views | NthQldITFC | He will do very well next season, I reckon. I'd just like to see a touch more aggression from him at times - he's too nice - but I reckon we can put itching powder in his socks next year. He's really growing on me.

Yes he hit the bar. Had a good ping to Omari for the goal at Villa park as well. Pretty sure it was his cross for our first at Spurs, been involved plenty. Decent out swinging corners today I thought, Delap might have done better with one of them. [Post edited 13 Apr 16:34]

Ben Johnson quietly having a decent second half of the season. on 16:34 - Apr 13 with 1909 views | Nutkins_Return | Will he be with us next season though. I agree that he will be strong in the champ but we will have Ogbene and Burns back as well. Would he be one we might get bids for and as a high earner one to move on (not sure what his contract drops to with relegation...).

He still has the potential to move back to RB though, especially if Axel leaves, and a season in the Championship might be an ideal opportunity to repurpose him. If he marked a little tighter and got a foot in earlier sometimes, he could be a Tyron Mings type player, with good ability to break forward too.

Probably a confidence player crowd moaned and groaned earlier in the season maybe expected more from him with his West Ham experience, We're playing at a higher level I think he's coming into his own doing well now,

I agree but he's on 50k a week. I'm sure that goes down a bit with relegation but will be one of our highest earners. Just might make financial sense to sell if takers. Would be pure profit as well wouldn't it since he was free? Would like to see him with us next season but with Delap there will be some more and this one might make sense. Suspect McKenna would like to keep him.

I presume a lot of the wage is the ongoing signing on fee. If he were sold the balance of that would have to be paid.

Where do you get 50k/wk from? Most sources are pretty unreliable, but do seem to agree he's on significantly less than that.

Had his issues defensively earlier in the season but who hasn’t. You were slagging him off after we beat Bournemouth recently if I remember correctly but you’re often wrong, so that’s fine.

He was terrible in that game, clearly the weakest link (voted our worst player) and his mistake caused their goal. Facts don't bother you though.

Not according to the two EADT journos or me. And we were all at the game which in my view is the better place to judge a player's overall performance. [Post edited 13 Apr 19:00]

Lowest votes on here and clearly fecked up for their goal. Gave the ball away on countless occasions, so much so that I texted a mate to say he was a liability. Not sure I needed to be in the ground to make these observations, and I have absolutely nothing against the bloke, but two people at the EADT doesn't trump however many voted on here.

He had a mare against Bournemouth. Gave the ball away far too many times, including at the edge of our box near the end of the game. However, somebody pointed out at the time that it must be a thankless task to be selected for one game in eight and expected to be on the same wavelength as your teammates in the toughest league in the world. With this recent run of games, perhaps (hopefully) we're now seeing his true worth. Today he was exceptional.
