Why do people start ole'ing when we're only 2-0 up and not exactly playing scintillating football?

We had a brief passage of passing between players and Nunez getting on the ball and it started, Nunez promptly got caught on the ball and they broke on us.

If this is you, why?

Never really understood it anyway, unless you really are cruising and four or five up. You're literally waiting for your own players to give the ball away. Rant over.

Similarly the Pompey fans seemed resigned to their fate at 0-1 let alone 0-2. They even gave a sarcastic chant about having scored at 1-2 rather than any suggestion of belief they could snatch a last-gasp equaliser.

I thought we gave the ball away too easily throughout the match and will need to play a lot better against better opposition.
