A bloke at work today said he refuses to eat fruit as he doesn't like it but he loves vegetables. He likes tomatoes though but isn't so sure of them now that I've told him they're fruit.

Obviously keep it light, if someone has recently told you they plan to go on a killing spree report it to the authorities rather than on here.

Someone at work doesn’t believe in dinosaurs, doesn’t eat fruit or vegetables but will eat grapes with tomato ketchup.

I know someone that..... on 20:26 - Mar 4 with 1482 viewsBloots

....won't drink either tea or coffee.

Not because he doesn't like them but because he's convinced that they'll "burn his insides".

He'll eat hot food though.

He also supports Leeds and drinks heavily.

My next door neighbours told me a couple of days ago that Rachel Reeves is going to take away the state pension from people like him who have a private pension.

His social media feed must tap into all sorts of right wing fake news sites, and it was very disturbing during Covid to hear what sort of nonsense he believed.

Apart from this, I get on with him well but for my sanity I do feel it is best to stay off politics.

I like Linguini, but I don't like Spaghetti.

Does that count?

I can get behind this one to be honest. Was making a spag bol the other week when home from uni. Except there wasn't any spaghetti, mum had bought linguini. It's a different thing. You don't call it a ling bol do you.

Thank god for that. The missus and kids think I'm mental, they just don't get it at all.

The better half while we were choosing a new door tonight: “We have to have a red door. It’s the only colour for a front door”. Or words to that effect. While surrounded by neighbours with blue, many shades of grey, white, natural wood, green doors, etc.

That’s fine, but we all know that you’re soon going to be the one with the red door on the street.

Ah, but we have one already and so does the neighbour. Which is why she’s gone for it again. Imagination isn’t one of her strong points lol (but don’t tell her I said that ).

Still bloody nuts imo. If we already had a purple door with yellow spots she’d be convinced that was the only colour we could have again.

That's paradoxical because Alphabetti Spaghetti is spaghetti that was invented by small linguists, or linguini as they are known in Italy.

True fact.

I'm not sure if there is any number-based spaghetti if you do want to count though. With that, help, I cannot.

I saw a bit of a TV quiz show I had never seen before and they asked a question about what the Clintons had named their son and the answer given was "Impossible" ... which was then given as correct!

I thought who names their child "Impossible"?

Although it was then explained that the show is called Impossible and it was correct because they don't have a son!

My rugby Union loving work colleague said that he refuses to take his kids to a football match because it’s far too abusive, violent and all the fans are drunk - then said that he has never been to a match in his life.

And a couple weeks ago he proudly told everyone that he punched someone in the scum whilst playing some village rugby match.

I guess he doesn't think the scum is a particularly bad place to punch someone.

That they voted for Brexit because they thought the EU had spent too much on improving the pedestrian paths in Malta. This despite them tripping over a wobbly paving stone and damaging their shoulder on their previous holiday in Malta, and running a business that was reliant on seasonal workers from Europe!!

Think that's bad, some people claimed Brexit would make us better off financially. Genuinely.

I was worried that posting this would open up another Brexit $hitfight on here. But it genuinely blew my mind that they singularly voted for Brexit because the footpaths in Malta were so much better than when they hurt themself previously. Generally they are pro-European but they felt it should have been up to the Maltese government to pay to improve their own footpaths.

They do regret their vote now and said the classic 'It was more of a protest vote, I didn't really think the vote would go in favour of leaving'. (An almost equally mental thing to say)
