Were all those saying they’d be happy with a point 14:37 - Apr 25 with 880 viewshoppy

Really pleased with what they saw?

Too many bits of sloppiness - Azon misses, Mehmeti close…(sorry, by close I mean cul de sac), even Jack Clarke missing the ball, Kipre causing nervousness… did the situation get to us, when given another opportunity to edge closer with 3 points after Millwall took 1 from Leicester?

Our limitations are exactly why I am happy with a point.

The first hour was increasingly awful, but then WBA tired and/or settled for a point & we were in complete control.
An in-form Southampton won't be easy to beat, but I'm confident we'll beat QPR at home.

This board so bloody strange at times because before the game there were so many saying just get a point, now we're judging the way we got it ffs..

It's a really good result, beat QPR and it's back to the Prem, you have to take that surely..

Totally agree...first 10 minutes of the second half it just looked like we really, really wanted West Brom to stay up, even when we had the ball under control we just immediately missed a five yard pass and invited them back onto us. Thank goodness for Walton this season. And concerning that we gave their keeper almost nothing to do the entire game - we know what Azon's like by now, but as Frimmers said elsewhere, if our left and/or 10 aren't firing or are crowded out, we really aren't up to much. Decent point, Baggies on strong form, but still felt like a game we really should have had enough to win.

Of course… I know that, but I wanted us to actually look a bit more convincing that we were going for the win. I’m never going to say before a game I would bite your hands off for a draw…

Pleased with a point.

Happy that the longer the match went the more likely we were to win it.

Happy that Tuesday will be a much more open match.

First 60 minutes, terrible from us - you would have thought it was WBA in 2nd with us fighting relegation.

Much, much more controlled when the subs came on, maybe that was WBA being less inclined to attack, or just us getting to grips with the game better, who knows.

Have to be happy with a point - not sure if it's correct, but the very biased home commentators I was listening to said that we've only scored once at the Hawthorns in the last 5 visits.

So yes, happy with that, just don't want to see such an inept performance again on Tuesday for 60 minutes...

No and I was expecting all of the above which is why I’m so happy with it. They’ve shown us enough time they can throw up away from home. Taking it back to PR last day is such a relief. I’m not guaranteeing a comfortable afternoon Vs QPR but I certainly think it’s our best chance and we can do it without scoreboard watching.

Millwall and Southampton’s results made today must not lose.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Squeaky bum time. Sir Alex always said the pressure does strange things to you, Millwall against disarray Leicester. Everyone said easy Southampton win against BC, didn't happen.

No disrespect to you or anyone on this site, but I'll go with Sir Alex because let's face it the shlt that comes out of his ar$e knows more about football than anyone on this site

If we had pushed too far and hard and exposed ourselves at the back we could have lost the game quite easily and would have been much harder to keep going for there. 2 games - 1 win. COYB!!

Yeah I am happy this could be a tougher game than southampton and basically uts now a free hit , people are so negative but we'll done for grinding out a point away from home nothing to be sniffed at

Though today's performance is hardly unusual when it comes to the season as a whole, so I'm not sure how much of it was down to pressure.

It wasn't a great game at all, especially in the first hour. Some of it has to be chalked up to be knackered though, its been a heavy spell of games at a critical time

The last time Ipswich Town won at The Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion was over 27 years ago, on 20 March 1999.

Not a happy hunting ground.

There is a difference tho between being happy pre game with a draw if we got it to watching us get that draw

First half and beginning of 2nd there only looked like being one scorer and it wasnt town

The final 20 minutes tho was kinda how I wantee the opening 70 to feel.

No but fully what I expected I've not seen a ninety minutes performance at home all season as a team we are bang average with a sprinkling of talented individuals a hard watch most of the time to be honest .

How are the 2 things conflated?

It’s a huge point. Look how the league table would look without it and the context of having Southampton away next.

Very sloppy yes but happy with the point regardless how we got it.

Been a lack of consistency all season and we've been unconvincing a lot even when we've got a result yet somehow automatic is in our hands.

How many of our players are good enough for the Premier league..... Let's worry about that after hopefully we've got there.

I wanted a win but it was important that we didn't lose. Would have been a lot worse needing a draw and a win n our final two games. Now we just need a win.

The point was a good one against a team on a long unbeaten run, I’d have taken that before the game. However, the performance was dire, especially during that first half. This time of the season, it’s about the points, but there’s been too many performances like that for me this season. We look disjointed and play as individuals not a collective. I still scratch my head how we find ourselves in second!!! Let’s be fair, if we go up, there’s going to need huge changes to make us even remotely competitive otherwise we are going up and coming straight back down.
