These guys days are done. We won't stay up signing these types. Leeds and Sunderland didn't. Fulham and Bournemouth before that managed without them.

We need young, pure athletes, with power, who can play a full season.

That's why we shouldn't be in for them. This isn't the Championship where we can carry them.

He’ll be 36 a month after the season starts. Old, injury prone, declining appearances, I wouldn’t want him if we were still in the Championship. He used to be a really top end player but is washed up now. I do hope we can do better than a team of pensioners.

Not convinced he's still got it at PL level and I think we shouldn't be doing any deals until we have a manager and know how he wants to play and what type of players he wants.

He was still more than capable for Newcastle at the end of last season, certainly not washed up. Not what Town need though.
