In 24 we looked more competitive when we played those who got us up over new signings
Our starting 11 today was excellent. It clicked. Worked
We lost Emmerson which was a massive loss at HT
Fatawu tired and we didnt have a replacment good enough
Lukic tired
Julio huffed and puffed
And we kind know furlong isnt prem standard | |

Yes the first half setup was absolutely spot on. We probably hang in there better in during second with a Luis or Matusiwa available. Can't enjoy a defeat but I've seen a lot there that makes me think we will be very competitive overall. | |

I wonder whether, if he could it again, O'Neil would have brought on Palacios for Emmerson at HT? Strengthened the midfield and try playing balls round the back of their CBs, rather than continuing the same tactic as before.
We need an upgrade on Furlong and McAteer urgently. Pleased for Akpom scoring, but should be third choice at best. | |
