Away ticket decline 14:25 - Sep 24 with 1793 viewsBelsteadCav

Looks like Hull away is going to +10 away points. Man City went to +5,

Do you think the novelty has dropped off for some fans?

Or is it the cost of living now making some fans pick and choose their games?

I must admit Man U away was a bloody expensive day out.

The last few years have been exceptional, after 20 years of garbage the success was bound to bring huge demand. Now people have done the rounds once or twice the long journeys are less appealing.

Is Spurs next one to go on sale? I suspect that won't make 10+...

Think you have that wrong, Hull looks very likely to sell out this afternoon at 15+ and certainly can’t remember Man City getting down to 5+

The ITFC site says Man City sold out at 10+

Not sure where you got that info from, but Hull only just made it into the 15+ window and Man City barely dropped into the 10+ window, with approx 170 tickets in those windows for both games, which sold out in seconds.

There will always be some fluctuation for various reasons, but the away support is as strong as ever IMO.

I’m not knocking our away supporters

I was just a bit surprised this season that tickets are still available for 15/10 groups

I do wonder whether the NFC digital tickets has put off a few people from buying and passing to their mates, so its not that there is less demand, but the tickets are actually being bought by the people that will use them, rather than all being bought and then moved on secondary market.

We will always sell out. Games going to 5+ is encouraging for supporters in their early years of away support. I was fortunate to be in my early 20s when we went up and stormed the Prem: luckily away matches were accessible for me. I think nowadays both cost and the points requirement would mean a similar aged person would struggle to see more than 1 or 2 away matches.

Anything to do with a larger minimum capacity for away fans in the Prem?

Isn't it the lower of 10% or 3,000 in the Prem v the lower of 10% or 2,000 in the Championship?

Same away fan base but more tickets = Availability down to lower APPs

Sadly agree
I bought my memberships setting my heart on Sunderland, Newcastle and Hull.
On 11 points it looks unlikely that I’ll get any of them.
Feel a bit of a mug really!

Numbers are not dissimilar to the last Prem season.

In both our 24/25 season and this current one, our 6th Prem Away game was Spurs.

In 24/25 approx 70 tickets made it to 15+, extrapolating sales for this season so far it looks likely that this season will be near identical.

Hull City Away (Sat 31 Oct) has just sold out at 15+
26/27 Hull City Away Match Sales 'Profile' by tommcd 24 Sep 15:03
26/27 Hull City Away Match Sales 'Profile'

The Hull City fixture sold out Thursday PM (15+) within a couple of minutes of the Window opening, hence is likely to remain so (though small numbers of returns, unclaimed ballot, and un-used Club retained tickets may still pop up for sale now and then).

Summary:

- The Club announced an initial allocation of 2470 tickets, the seatmap matched that.

- The Club retained a total of 215 seats (Club allocation, steward use, ballot) this includes 50 Ballot seats.

- There were 40 wheelchair / assistant / ambulant seats (15 wheelchair, 15 assistant, 10 ambulant).

- A total of 2215 tickets were available for purchase for across Member Sales windows.

- All blocks were available from the first window.

Per Window Sales:

- 1071 (48.35%) sold in the 30+ window.
- 532 (24.02%) sold in the 25+ window.
- 474 (21.40%) sold in the 20+ window.
- 138 (6.23%) sold in the 15+ window.

Points of Note:

* Maximum points going into this sale was 38.

* A first game this season with 'print at home' tickets (a lower risk for APP hoarders who want to buy and then move the ticket on).

* Despite the 'print-at-home' tickets, all Windows saw a downward turn in Sales (or in the case of the top Window; no growth), there's a vague downward trend but no doubt that will be bucked by the Tottenham sale (next up).

* Still no sign of 35+ or 40+ Windows.

Midweeks are harder to get to, but interesting very similar total number of tickets available.

No comment, just reposting in case of anyone wanted to compare Champs v Prem. The usual saying about statistics applies!

If anything its even easier to pass them on, instead of physically handing the ticket over you can email it.
