I guess it happened the best way.
I was with her on Monday afternoon. I worked in the Morning yesterday and at 9.30 i got the dreaded call from my very upset sister.I was going to see her early if the rain carried on,sadly it stopped so i was aiming to see her at my usual lunchtime slot.
She had passed away in her sleep.

Yeah I’m ok thanks just trying to keep busy with gardening and cycling.
My family and I have got to go and sort my mums flat out soon,I’m not looking forward to that.
But as we all know life does go on.

It's a horrid time when we lose our parents. I can only echo the thoughts and messages of sympathy to you and your family already given by your TWTD friends.
Looking ahead, particularly the next few months, things will be hard at times, but take time for yourself. Think about your Mum, the happy times you had with her and try and smile.
And get out on that bike.

Morning Benters, yes it won't be a pleasant day but hopefully you can find time to reminisce about happy memories amidst the sadness. It's a day that needs to happen to say goodbye properly but it's not like you'll forget her or the way she shaped you. [Post edited 18 Aug 2018 7:38]

My Dad died on my 25th birthday and I had never been to a funeral it was all like a dream to me at the time but you get through it somehow, try and think of good times all the best be thinking of you. | | | |
