What's your personal highlight of the Banter Era? For me, the way Delaney told Jewell he was off to live in New York and needed to be let go, and then turned up at Palace a month or so later and enjoyed a promotion and a long career in the top flight. I also like very much the fact Jewell signed Ingimarsson (sp) simply because they were at the same resort on holiday at the same time and Ingi did of course turn out to be an absolute knacker of a player. Also the gangsters arriving at Playford Rd looking for Chopra. What are yours?

I really feel for him. A Town fan and he is going to feel dreadful about that. He did at least create the chance himself with a super run and chip over the keeper. I think the ball spun so that it bounced up higher and more suddenly than he expected, preventing him heading it from the position he was in and allowing their keeper (who did very well there) to come back and save it.

Fair to say Bonne redeemed himself after that miss. There’s no sign of the banter era clearing off though.

Just for the records, 2-0 away to Barrow with a first half performance so utterly awful, that a dreadful second half performance passed as an improvement.
I keep imagining that Pet Shop Boys music video with images of people like Hurst, Lambert, Cook, Coke, Best, Bennetts, Harrop etc etc as the faces of the girls. Nightmares incoming tonight.
