Must admit, I thought you were going to say Ron Fearon.

Scott Houghton though, he had a very decent loan spell for us.

Nobody forgets Ron Fearon.

Terry Austin.

Part of the deal that secured the services of a certain Paul Mariner from Plymouth.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

I certainly never have forgotten the 'Here's Ronnie' that accompanied his goalkicks.

George O’Callaghan

Sent off at Watford in the FA Cup and scored once I think but can’t recall who against. Feel like it was weak oppo - maybe Blackpool?

Barnsley in a 5-1 win.

The thing is, how do you know other people have forgotten?

TWTD CP. Evans Out.
Poll: Neil Young or Lynyrd Skynyrd - there is no middle ground.

Jimmy McLuckie is often forgotten. Ironically whilst he only scored 3 goals in his career, he actually hit the crossbar twice in every game he played*

And then there is Mick Lambert... for those that didn't see him play, he's like a cross between Mick McCarthy and Paul Lambert.

I remember him.

He actually played 76 first team games although he was generally a reserve.
First game in 1950 and last one in 1959.
He played the vast majority of his games in 1951/52 and 1952/53.

All the above from TDWMTT apart from me remembering him and remembering him as a reserve.

One thing will stick in my memory about him was his autograph. One capital D then “avid” and underneath “eacon”.
Largely he was Kenny Malcolm’s understudy.

Never got David Deacon's autograph as he had gone by the time my autograph hunting days started.

Two of Jackie Milburn's signings, remember them both.

But I only remember him now because of the 'earliest memories of TWTD' thread the other day, just looked Stein up on Wikipedia and he only played seven games on loan but the mag that is my first memory of TWTD seems to have him as MoM for an entire season.

I think he scored against the Budgies in a 2-1 defeat at Carrot Rud in about 1997? At least my memory tells me he did!

Randomly I used to go and watch Luton a bit in the mid 90s and really rated him!

Not forgotten per se, but if you’re talking about TWTD mentions relative to 1st team appearances then Geraint Williams under indexes big time. 200+ appearances, barely gets a sniff on here does poor Geraint.

No one who score Williams score against Reading at Elm Park would forget him. A goal of sublime beauty from the most unlikely source!

I remember him playing in the play offs against Sheff United.

He scored the equaliser I think?

Then Tony Vaughan had the option of tackling the Sheff Utd player and stopping him from scoring, or letting him score then pushing him into the goalpost.

That was a really sad night. I was only about 16/17. Still remember it.

Extra time seemed to go on and on and we had to equalise. Then Sedgley hit the post in front of the north stand.

Kevin O'Callaghan scored an absolute snorter shortly after joining, either against Wolves or Derby.
Going from memory it was Van Basten-esque, outside of the left boot volley from an acute angle.
