You beat me to it....

Now if anyone plays really well they need to be rewarded with a starting place against Accrington alongside the returning downes, Chambo and Garbutt

I'm looking forward to see how Bishop and Sears do.

Do you think this is the formation we are going to build around now? I hope so.

I got the impression from Stuart Taylor's interview that we played it at Wycombe though because Donacien was injured.

However, it also sounded like the rotation policy was over, for the league anyway, when he said about players being match fit now, and it was a fight for places.

A bit of spin maybe to save face, but maybe the players have had their say on this and won?

Yes I also picked up the Taylor comment on rotation for the sake of it ending. Perhaps based on player feedback.

Play well, stay in team. Dropped when injured, fatigued, or poor.

Strongly suspect that the Wycombe XI is the basis for the squad going forward. Obviously KVY needs to come back in for Gwion, but that looks to be the best combination of players we have currently available.

Oh, and Holy to come in as well, obviously.

Fingers crossed we’re going to stick with this system. Hoping Freddie back will make a big difference for us, and think that midfield looks pretty well balanced.

Good balance there. The front three all have a lot to prove and fitness might be an issue there, should have a solid base to build on though.

COYB I want to go to Wembley.

I hope we don't stick with this system. The lack of a fit right back has forced it on us of late. We don't have the CBs to play with a back three, that's been exposed time and again this season.

Fair point. Probably not much point hoping that we’ll sign someone with this in mind?

I seriously doubt it.

I think now the likes of Sears are coming back a 4-3-3 is pur best formation. Keeps three in the middle of the park and allows us to play wide forwards rather than our mediocre wide midfielders. The CBs are more comfortable in a back four.

Even then I’d prefer to see Woolfenden tried out there over a switch to a wing back system. We do not have the players for it.

Think Woolfy could cover right back temporarily. Won't be long until Donacien is back though by the sound of it and then we can revert to a back four more easily.

Sears andEdwards have pace, and Bishop carries the ball very well. What is more important is that the ball is moved quickly. That is something thatSkuse does not do.

I do worry about Bishop having only had 6 minutes in the 1st team since his injury. I think I would have preferred him off the bench at 60 minutes.

Hopefully I will be proven wrong and he will have a great 90 minutes.

On a positive, at least PL is actually sticking to a formation and players will know what's expected of them.

A strong side for a mickey mouse cup. Not sure why we couldn't have done this a few weeks ago when players were left out of three consecutive mickey mouse and FA Cup matches. Perhaps lessons have been learnt.
