"He refused to rule out the UK and the EU failing to reach a trade deal by the end of this year."

Still, at least he has sorted out social care

"Johnson was unable to explain to Walker why he was taking so long to publish his plan when he claimed in July last year, on the day be became PM, to already had a plan. In his first speech from No 10 Johnson said: “I am announcing now — on the steps of Downing Street — that we will fix the crisis in social care once and for all with a clear plan we have prepared to give every older person the dignity and security they deserve.”

and any changes would not come into effect until 2025 at the earliest - so there was not 'a plan' last July, just as there is no plan for any trade deal outside of the EU, just waffle, bluster and lies.

you've not understood my post.

I've asked a question.

If BJ said he had a plan then could that be starting a cross party approach which would lead to the outcome all want?

I like the idea of cross party cooperation providing it's done in the correct spirit. Something as important as this deserves a cross party approach.

It does seem that even though BJ has opened the tent on this some will still not be happy.
Am puzzled by that tbh. What else can he do? You're in the tent, make use of it and stop complaining. No?

Clearly your eyes have some kind of translate function. Turn off the bile.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

I don’t think it’s me that’s misunderstood to be honest.

There’s nothing Boris can say or do that you won’t perform mental gymnastics to defend so there’s really no point.

I’ll leave it there, let’s just talk about cricket and cheese from now on 😁

What else he can do?

He can publish the plan he said he had.

Hammy, you wanted examples of Boris lying.

He lied.

“...we will fix the crisis ...with a clear plan we have prepared”

Not going to prepare.
Not start opening cross party talks.
Not a fix we prioritise.

A clear plan we have prepared.

Cricket and cheese. Now you're talking. Can we ask Phil for a Cricket and cheese tab on the top?

Was the plan not to have a cross party working party dealing with it?

I can't recall exactly what was said from the election but I think I heard that was a policy. Am I wrong?

Surely a cross party approach is the best way. I've posted about this earlier. If it's correct then was else do you want? You've got a place in the tent. What else would you like?

eh ?

I appreciate you are a brexiteer so you probably aren't too bright, but the points being made are that it is not gone.

The gormless deluded themselves that Johnson was not lying and the la la land they thought existed could now be had. Whereas what was being explained by remain is proving correct barely a few days into the new government. As in this rather huge flaw in Johnson's lies

"There will be border checks on trade inside the UK under the Brexit deal negotiated by Boris Johnson, the EU's chief negotiator has said.

Michel Barnier confirmed there would be "checks and controls" between Britain and Northern Ireland under the agreement that will govern the UK's exit from the EU.

Boris Johnson falsely claimed several times during the general election campaign that there would be no checks on the Irish sea, and was accused by the opposition of lying. "

So the brexit you numpties imagined was happening will not, and cannot, happen.... and we have not even started the negotiations ! The wheels might have been falling off, but this is now the clutch dropping out.

What next, as this shambles staggers from failure to failure ? What else is going to be revealed... or in truth, admitted ?

Nothing wrong with any of those occupations though, just to be clear.

I've been one and would happily do the other.

Someone's job is no excuse however, to not at least try to understand what is going on and to take note from those who may know more that we.

I have just spent an hour in the company of two brothers, one of whom worked within the London Stock Exchange and for the government in a similar guise for years all over the world, and his brother was someone in the Met Police, recently retired.

Both have been Tory their entire lives, both are well educated men.

Both are dismayed at Brexit, the ex-cop says he is equally dismayed at Johnson at present and this government's decisions and policies since they took over almost a decade ago.

Make of that what one will.
