Remainers of the board... 18:00 - Jan 30 with 10566 views | bluelagos | How are you planning on seeing in our imminent EU departure tomorrow night? Think I'll just have an early night and make sure I am not watching any current affairs / news programs. So classic head in sand approach for me. You guys?

How is that being bitter? The slogan on the bus stated that 350 million could be spent on the nhs per week.

If you’re daft enough to not realise that was a metaphor for the bleeding of inward investment, food rationing and a healthcare crisis due to staff shortages, that’s your fault

Remainers of the board... on 22:13 - Jan 30 with 1066 views | Argyle_blue | A bit like you I’m deliberately disengaging from any of the political debate about this. I suppose you could call it head in the sand. I am deeply saddened by the state of this country but I’m old enough to know that all things come and go. As there’s nothing I can do about it I’ve decided to concentrate on things I can do something about - doing the best I can for my children, helping my friends, doing some volunteering. I’ve totally washed my hands of the government having tried everything possible to ensure there wasn’t a Tory majority. I’m pretty sure they’ll end up hanging themselves now they’ve got enough rope. Until then you’ll find me doing the best I can without the news on.

Just remember - today they ring their bells, soon they will wring their hands.

Plus hope my Dad's business isn't screwed because he relies on seasonal workers from Europe (yet for some reason voted to leave - damn boomer!!) | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Remainers of the board... on 01:54 - Jan 31 with 988 views | NewcyBlue | First night home. Seb is staying over. So I will probably be sleeping on his floor next to his bed because he always asks me to when I first get home. One more flight to go...

Strange as this may sound, it is possible to rationally debate the merits of Brexit without insults or triumphalism. For him, the sovreignty issues - particularly the "ever closer union" project - just about trumped the economics. For me, it was the reverse. We both think the way it's been handled since June 2016 is a right royal cock-up.
