You are missing the obvious fact that most people dont much like most television programmes.... and some like some rather a lot.

From my own recollections it struggled to keep the plot line going in series two and got a lot better... though that might simply be because I thoroughly enjoyed a groundbreaking TV show that was compelling viewing back in the day.

It certainly does get better.

Just finished all series of BCS back to back as never got round to watching it and I actually think once it hits season 3 is better than BB!?!? Crazy I know.

I've been watching Better Call Saul and have enjoyed it but I am struggling with the latest series myself so I can see how it happens

I didn't think El Camino was particularly awesome but I certainly enjoyed Breaking Bad

Fair enough I’ll keep going

The other series I can’t get into is the Sopranos

Sopranos is the best small screen series ever ... Followed by The Wire and Breaking Bad.

Maybe you should give Doc Martin or Midsomer Murders a go!

I liked that too, jolly good series.

Dunno if you saw it but there's one or two ideas on this if you're looking:

First series of True Detective is way up there for me. The second was terrible. The third, pretty good.

Spot on.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Totally agree. That first season is brilliant. It lost its way after that and I must admit I gave up on it.

If you haven't watched the third, i suggest you give it a try. It's pretty good.

I didn't love BB, but did enjoy it. I found some of the sillier parts a bit too much and the last season didn't get me putting it in my greatest ever list. But it's worth watching in my opinion.

Ignore anyone telling you the Wire is good. It's the Bill for pretentious people.

At last someone else who doesn't rate The Wire i thought I was the only one.
I watched the first series and it just didnt do anything for me. Don't get me wrong it was well acted, I quite liked the character of Jimmy Mcnulty and procedurally it was probably a very accurate portrayal in terms of those types of investigations. But for me it was just devoid of any real tension, suspense or ambiguity. Give me Line of Duty any day of the week.

Worth watching purely because it'll make Better Call Saul even more enjoyable. Now, that's some of the best TV since the Sopranos!

I love Better Call Saul. Although i did find the last series a little slow. Mike Ehrmantraut is one of the best fictional characters there has ever been on small screen. IMO.

El Camino is just Jesse Pinkman's end story, although it has a few memorable bits such as his relationship with the 'nice' psycho Todd and the return of Robert Forster as Sam Galbraith, the man who can make you disappear for one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars.

As for Keno, stick with it mate. It gets a lot better once Gus Fring comes on the scene. Strangely, the people who annoyed me the most in it were Skyler and his son Walt Jr.

In full agreement here.

Also, if you can find it, a Yank series called Quarry is as good as True Detective. it got pulled after one series (total bullsh1t), but is absolutely terrific.

Don't take any notice, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

The only thing I could have done with for the few episodes were maybe some subtitles.

I’ve seen and enjoyed most of those. Would also recommend Gomorrah. In Italian with subtitles but excellent series in my opinion.

Yeah right.

I saw it was on yesterday and meant to mention it on here for you.

But then I forgot so the joke was already stale before I posted it.

BB might just not be your thing. I can't get interested in many of the others mentioned here time and again. I guess we all have our tastes.

Do you mean the film with the You’ll never walk alone song in it?

I’m half way through series 2 of BB and will stick with it

I think so!

I've not seen it, but I'm sure you're right, yes.

If you stick with it, as others say, you should become engrossed.

Then you have BCS to look forward to. I'm quite envious as I can't see much about I fancy.

There's a thing on Sky Movies called Talking Pictures. Loads of Ealing films and stuff from the 30's and 40's on it, can be good. I watched a film called The Halfway House on there, British war-time ghost story, and that was excellent.
