Grange Farm 09:18 - Sep 7 with 17648 views | itfcjoe | Armed police there and helicopter landing - a friend (and some time TWTD poster) has heard a child has been shot. Awful start to the week, hopefully it's not true, or if it is that there isn't a death, but it looks bad

Grange Farm on 12:35 - Sep 7 by The_Major | When the Sky News alert came up on the phone, it was worded it as if there was some nutter running amok down Tavern Street, and my blood ran cold. We're just not used to being the centre of the news world. And if you had to pinpoint the location of this incident without knowing, how long would it take you to get down to Through Jollys? Grim. Fingers crossed. |
Remember Steve Wright? That was global, tv crews from Japan pitched tents outside Lidl on London Road for that one, 2 years ago the one on Nacton, brutal. Ipswich has had a dark side for 20 years now. Thing is how Kesgrave residents claim they are not connected to Ippo, like to stigmatise the place, east Suffolk and all that. BSE the same, sordid little places. Could just be kids having a feud, could be they had been recruited by County lines.

Grange Farm on 16:22 - Sep 7 by Mullet | A kid's been shot. You're making this very much about you. Surely you can see there are bigger things at play then you feeling a bit put out by peoples' bias on the forum? It's not something where you need to keep saying "I'm off woe is me" several times over given the severity of the situation is it? |
Well said. | | | |

Kesgrave High School was a strange place to be in those days. Yes, Kesgrave is considered not to have the same scale of problems that many other parts of Ipswich has but I never thought of it as a snobbishness but rather a recognition of the fact poverty brings more problems and Kesgrave very much benefits from the BT money at Martlesham. I can see how that can be seen as the snobbishness you describe, though. Today KHS will be a very strange place to be again. Even more so than every other high school dealing with the impact of the pandemic. I am glad for Baxter his boy is fine (although if he did know the victim very well, perhaps keep a close eye on him because emotions are funny things that do not always show immediately). I hope the victim is OK too. Regardless of whether this is county lines related or what lies behind it, I hope the perpetrator is properly dealt with too. Clearly nothing like as serious as this but there has been some pretty unpleasant stuff from some teenagers in Beccles too. Worrying times for parents.

Grange Farm on 16:26 - Sep 7 by WarkTheWarkITFC | I really don't care about upvotes or downvotes. Today has simply highlighted what I've thought for some time about some of the upvote and downvote habits and replies of certain posters. Obviously an innocent child is in a serious condition and that's the only thing that matters. But you've decided you need to have your say, much like me. |
It seems like you do care tbh.
