There's been a lot of talk about people being isolated due to the old rona recently, but has anyone felt the opposite has been true for them?

Of course you can't see many people physically, but thinking about the year just gone I have to say I feel closer to a lot of my family than I have done since I was a kid. We've all been keeping in touch with each other and our neighbours far more regularly and just doing random acts of kindness to keep everyone's spirits up.

I feel the circumstances have helped bring us all much closer together, and it's a real shame we couldn't share Christmas all together. But it just shows that good can come from bad if you spare a thought for those around you.

In before SUQ. I know I'm soppy.

Well i started a new relationship just before lockdown and therefore i spent everyday with her as she was in my bubble. I can't thank the old virus enough because it quickly became apparent she was a right loony.

Lockdown hasn’t changed my life much, just made me more p1ssed off at how flawed society is (we knew it already but now the curtain is fully lifted) and gave me time to do life at my own life pace rather than my landlord/boss/general high standards of society.

Go back to normal? Well, seeing as the entire economy just fell apart due to a virus and plunged millions into poverty I’d say “normal” was toxic AF, perhaps we should instead use this time to change what the word means in terms of how we function?

It's difficult to tell the difference between the pics you send of your food and what you will be giving to Mr Armitage Shanks in return.

Not fully, and not sure if I ever will fully - but no harm in learning how to cook this way, you never know.

However, I do always eat mostly vegetarian in December and have done for about 4 years. Two reasons, I CBA to diet after christmas and new years so I tend to break from it on Christmas day. The other is I live rural and have an allotment, so it is a good cost cutter in december.

One thing I will say though, cauliflower streak is sh*te - id much rather just break it up and have it in a stir fry.

I love cheezy cauli mash and cauli rice for dieting.

I am now making my own sauces, oat milk and fake meat. It’s cheaper, fresher and more rewarding.

I mostly do things like stir fry and dahl curry as I am a big fan of eastern spice. I don't tend to enjoy substitute meat/dairy that much so haven't indulged. That said I do rather like the coconut yogurt alternative for cold sauces and in porridge for a bit of creaminess.

Of and vegan dark chocolate is quite nice too, again made with coconut.

Thing is, I thing bounty bars are horrific - so there we go.

Nah I’ve always cooked from scratch. When I say sauces I mean Mayo and Hot Sauces and stuff. Condiments!

A reboot so to speak

Despite losing my job I see 2020 as being largely positive for me. What I have lost in "status" and income, my pay off takes me to April and savings thru to next summer (worst case scenario).

But have spent time caring for father and uncle, a lot of time with wife and youngest kids.

Done a lot of volunteering helping people worse off than me.

I think there is a perfect storm that will force society in general to rethink / reboot and maybe produce a better world to live in.

There are those who would argue that you have spelt drivelling incorrectly.

In hindsight I’ve found it thoroughly sh*t. I thought I was ok with it, but working from home and barely getting out or seeing anyone all year has in retrospect strained my health, waist band, job, marriage, relationship with my kids, the lot really. I’m in a lot worse place than this time last year. Not helped arm by going through big job losses at work thanks to the Brexit w@nkers.

Oh well, sht happens. I wouldn’t mind so much if the football was better.
