My sister lives in Dubai as a teacher, the ex pats are enraged by what has happened, they had quite the draconian lockdown last year, far stricter than ours, and yet at Xmas the authorities decided to let all and sundry in, and now the rates have skyrocketed. | |

On the plus side, there is a degree of schadenfreude in seeing two people who have made a privileged life for themselves out of smiling at cameras feeling angry that someone who has made a privileged life for herself out of pouting at cameras is, momentarily, more privileged than them.
