I will also praise Lambert for the subs today, particularly Edwards on for Thomas, that pushed the very dangerous looking Gabriel back defending and not attacking. That is the sort of substitution sadly missing previously this season. |  | | |

I always want us to win and I’m pleased we did. We are in 10th. We cant beat or even compete with the big boys above us, but at least we probably wont fall into a relegation battle this season.
Today, its nice we won a game and it makes the weekend more enjoyable. But it really doesn’t change the big picture. We are marooned in this division, a shambles with too many players, a hopeless owner and even worse manager.
If we take mighty Peterborough to the cleaners on Tuesday and follow it with a win at Shrewsbury, i might change my mind about this season’s prospects. But on planet earth, a point scraped from those two fixtures will be a good result. [Post edited 6 Feb 2021 19:17]

Exactly. I didn't see the performance, but if it was as good as people are making out (which I doubt from the scoreline and the quality of opposition) it should just serve to remind people that at this level we have a good side and Lambert has failed to get the best out of the team. |  |
