Doesn't really say too much that suggests Lambert is going, less hopeful than his earlier tweets.

‘The air will be cleared for the better next week’ on 21:17 - Feb 21 by itfcjoe | We played a style they were more comfortable with, early to Norwood and then try and play off him.....easier to press when you know when you get the ball back you try and attack rather than win it and then pass backwards a few times. You can’t play high tempo off the ball whilst low on it from all the football I’ve seen |
take it you've not seen Man City or Liverpool play then

Slow day in the political world? I’m sure something will come up and we can get you cleared out the football side of things, and leave it to the people who know a thing or two.

Yeah, the way both sides move the ball is night and day compared to our ponderous knocking it across the back four. Very few successful sides play slowly in possession the way that we do.

The opposition have 20/30 secs minimum to get themselves back into a structured solid shape, have a breather and evaluate the situation before any midfielder of ours even touches the ball We then hit it out for a throw in

Hope not, promoting from within the problem won’t solve it. The club needs someone independent from this rot.

Added a few followers on Twitter. The only point of note was just a reminder that Lambert's demeanour was a lot better 14 months ago. It can't be doing him much good to still be here any more than it is us.

As I have said for years. You know My view is that it wont change regardless who is manager within Evans in charge. But Skuse has played (literally) a big part of the clubs demise. [Post edited 22 Feb 2021 8:02]

He also played a big part in the only moderate success we've enjoyed during Evans' reign. I think you're pinning too much on one player's influence here.

This is spot on. In the Premier league, so many teams will play the high press which presents opportunities. How many times in league one have we seen teams just sit in against us? They know we struggle to break lines so it's easy to play against. Against Oxford we reverted to being direct and suprise suprise it looked more effective. The standard of teams in this division is distinctly average. Take away the time they have to get organised and actually think and we would be in the plays offs as a minimum. That would however require proper planning and coaching.......
