Interesting background and portfolio. Let’s see where that goes...

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Seems he's just got permission for a new professional football team at 'Tidewater Landing' whatever / wherever that is.

Also a partner in 'Phoenix Rising'. he'll probably change our name to 'Ipswich Drifting'.

It has to be true. Since clicking on this link I’m suddenly getting adverts for all sorts of US merchandise!

Slight concern that he doesn't come up really on many google searches. Could it be like the Burnley takeover where its all based on a loan.

'Mr. Johnson served as Managing Director of Targus EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific from 1997 to 2001 and resided in London, UK.' - might be when ITFC first came to his attention?

He runs a sports investment portfolio firm. Not his money.

ITFC don't have the assets or earnings to secure a Burnley-style loan against.

There's no way they can be thinking of making a quick buck from Town. Nothing to sell.

Might want us as a long-term project a la Swansea?

Phoenix Rising is the football team in my city. We're in the USL, which is the league down from MLS. We don't have relegation, so it's purely money that talks for getting into the MLS. Interesting fact is Frank Yallop was our manager a few years ago. Didier Drogba was a co-owner and player for a while, and was awful to watch. He could not have cared less about the game. It was all a spectacle.

Sleeping giant lol. There was no money to be made at Swansea as they bought on a high. So you never know if this guy's as daft as the pair who bought Swansea! The trouble with a hedge fund of course is that there's often no money available to prop the club up on an ongoing basis. It's not often a hedge fund can raise additional cash to service debt.

Don’t worry, the EFL have a robust fit & proper test to ensure whoever takes over will look after the club.
