It's true that there are fewer teams in the Scottish Premiership than in the Third Division but the effect of playing every other team four times in a season brings a familiarity with players and tactics that clubs have to cope with. Would be interesting to see how Peterborough, for example, fared against Livingston or Hamilton Accies. By the time you get up to Dundee United and Hibernian I think you would find even the top Third Division sides would be perplexed by the expansiveness of Scots teams at the moment. |  |
