I don't know to much about this league tbh, no idea what the higher end of the age ranges that have appeared here, I also don't know what shape he's in, or if he's still playing etc, hence asking other people rather than having my own opinion on it as I don't know enough about the situation. And with Ibra, playing with AC Milan at 40 ect and Coppinger at Donacaster at 40 it was worth than ask. ( Appreciate Drogba is 43 mind you) |

I don't see the point. We were, until recently, within touching distance of the play offs and we've been utterly dire. With Cook replacing some of the dross with decent options I don't think it's going to take a great deal to get out of this league especially if we're going to recruit as if we're a Championship club as Phil suggested we might. Drogba seems an unnecessary layer of risk and complication that we really don't need.
Would be great to see him have some connection though, even if it was some vague ambassador role. |  |

Indeed. In fairness to Chris, I think his comment is born of how terrible our current strikers are that he'd entertain the possibility of Drogba. But now we have this investment coming in we'll be able to buy the better strikers in this league, who will hopefully be good for the Champ too.
So other than as a PR stunt, as you say, Drogba would be little point. |  |

Spruce can I ask what is the actual problem
It's not like I post the same reply 50 times to an OP. I use the forum for its purposes.. discussion. That means I reply to fellow posters and get involved in a discussion.
That's what they want from their posts. Otherwise there is no point posting anything if it's not to start a discussion.
My job means I have a lot of time spent on my own. This could be at the desk just watching over the building. Or daytime when I'm awake ready to go again but all my friends and my wife are at work. So this place is great for me to use otherwise being honest I'd be very very bored [Post edited 26 Apr 2021 13:57]

I'm not going to name names. I didn't say what you are suggesting. I said cm was passionate and it was better than people who refuse to admit they care. I didn't mention anything about them having a problem with his number of posts. Not that it is any of their business. We frequently see posters mock anyone who shows enthusiasm. We frequently see posters say things like 'I can't wait until we lose on Saturday to see the meltdown on here'. You really want to argue the point that people aren't increasingly apathetic? I appreciate we've had it so bad for so long that people are worn out but some people get mocked for showing the slightest bit of hope and enthusiasm. | |
