not sure there was any prospect of us keeping on a 35-year-old left back, given what Cook's talked about in terms of attacking full backs.

Like the rest of the squad; he looked decent the first six games of the season.

Bet he was a handy fullback 7 years ago.

Yep. He linked up really well with Sears for a few games but has clearly come to the end of his career now.

Was kind of hoping this would be the case. We should be attacking this naff division and any sort of modern attacking team has athletic full-backs who are good enough on the ball to almost act as second wingers offering overlaps.

Ward is certainly not that.

I hope not.

He would probably to a decent job, but would like to see him given the chance to shine in CM.

Think that was a fairly obvious one to be honest. There's only really question marks over 3-4 of the out of contract players and he's not one of them.

Truly impaired.

I just want a fullback who not only gets forwards but can put a cross in from deep.

Unless he's been secretly injured, you would presume that he's gone if he can't get a game over Ward.

I'd keep Kenlock as a back up personally. He's no great shakes but you aren't going to get many better LBs willing to sit on the bench in League 1.

I often agree with you. On this occasion, based on my observations of US squad management practices, I expect that Kenlock will be retained.

Depends on who our central striker is but I take your point. If they're happy to overlap and work into the area then crossing from deep isn't so important. Depends on the player and style that Cook wants!

Would let Kenlock move if you could fight a suitor for him as well.

Pearce, Garbutt or Ogilvie would be my choices.

Maybe some truth that Norwood's tweet this week about being out with the lads was in fact their leaving drinks then!

Garbutt should have signed for us but he done himself out of that deal, he's done well this season but do we really want him back? In some ways when he was in form he was great last season and helped the whole team but in other ways he hardly made us his first option when he could have come here so why do we want someone like that on the books?
