That comparison makes zero sense.

But you knew that already.

It's not a very good troll account, quite boring really. Kudos though on creating a somewhat believable persona.

Just bookmarking this so in a month or two from now when Phil asks why nobody highlighted the troll in our midst we can show that some of us have been pointing out these posters for a very long time now.

Please see previous reply to footers. Many times a day on here people who voted Conservative/Brexit are collectively called all sorts of names, often containing asterisks to save their expulsion! I make no apologies for trying to get folk to act with more dignity, respect and humility.

Footers, admin have all my contact details, ITFC customer number etc if they believe I am a troll (still not sure what one is). I can not think of one poster on here who voted Tory at the last general election and or for Brexit who has not been accused of 'Trolling' once their voting decisions are known.
I will try and defend my position and answer to anyone (when of course I am online and see it - which is not as often as you guys admittedly) who tries to ridicule unnecessarily my or others decisions.
There are many on here who think opposite to me that can maintain dignity, respect and humility at the same time. I feel we should all aim for that.
Oh and my comparison made perfect sense...

Ah yes, because cricketers are selected on their political opinions and are tasked with running the country. How silly of me.

I'm sorry to say your comparison made no sense, unless you are planning on voting for Olly Robinson to be PM and defending his racist and sexist tweets so as to justify your decision.

The sad thing is, you know full well the difference but opted to use the wrong one to sound like a pwopa bloke, like some Danny Dyer east end hardnut.

I could make a case for saying gtsb1966 possibly passed his English.

The use of were and weren't in the subordinate clauses depends on the reality or truthfulness of the subordinate clause. If it is true, then the indicative forms was and wasn't are in order. If it is not true, i.e. counterfactual, then the past subjunctive forms were and weren't are used.

Guess it depends whether it is true or not!....we will never know.

Good to see this Paz.

Nice to see you learning from the good people on TWTD.

And it is good to know you won’t be using rude words about political people anymore.

You could make that case but you'd be wrong.

Enjoy speedway, sounds riveting. And don't forget your bus pass.

if as a 5 year old in the 50s you had seen your mother shunned at the school gates as she took you to school, seeing people crossing the road for no reason, only not pass us on the pavement. all because your mother was of indian descent, your heart would gladden to see even on a football forum good people push against even the smallest bit of racism.

This comment has just been etched in my mind since you wrote it.

I've wanted to reply to it for a while, but whatever I think or write doesn't really do your initial post justice.

I feel like your comment makes the time I've spent on here, arguing against racism and against the defence of racists, worthwhile.

But at the same time I feel saddened that we have to have multiple threads nearly ten pages long, when it's just about people being treated equally.

It makes me feel ashamed that you and your mother have experiences like this to draw from.
