Personally I bought Trippier was poor...it was pretty obvious on occasion that not having a left footed player squandered a few attacking opportunities as he ha to check back. I also thought he missed a few tackles and got done a few times. Walker wasn't much better. |
Walker loves an over lap, where trippier was a sitting fullback so that allowed Sterling to play higher up and with more freedom.
At first I didn’t agree, then I could see what he was doing and I thought it worked in most part.

Our record in the European Championships in general is fairly poor - the happy memories of Euro 96 tend to obscure the fact that most of them have been car crashes for England.

I'd say switch Trippier to right back and bring in Chilwell for Scotland but otherwise keep the same XI which started today. Would prefer to see Sancho on the bench instead of Johnstone though. Walker can miss out alongside the injured Maguire. |

Mings would have been forgiven for losing some of that belief when he was released by Southampton a decade ago.
