You can be in prison and still end up in police custody if you are suspected of another offence. You'd just be transported from prison to the investigating police station.
Far better to have them questioned on your 'turf' than theirs. | |

Most people already in prison get interviewed in prison. They have interview rooms and cuts out a huge amount of time and resource transporting convicted offenders from one location to another just to go through booking in processes etc.

If it is Wright then no, he will not, as he is serving a 'whole of life sentence' which means there's no minimum term set by the judge, and the person's never considered for release. | | | |

We used to have a DJ night in the back function room of the Ferry Boat on King St in Naaaridge in the early 90s. He was the landlord back then.
Always seemed amiable enough but used to really rip into the street girls when they popped in the front bar (main red light districting was one road up on Rouen Rd).

As BlueBeat suggests below, other forces with cases where he had associations too. There were suggestions his lorry driving had taken him places and he had got away with many cases where forces had not necessarily been as thorough with their investigations as they might have been if they had not been prostitutes.
