… like, I get it, the takeover, Ashton coming in, a massive turn around in players … it’s all shiny and new, and for some people, they’ll never have a word said against it. But for those that share their ‘concerns’, we’re seen as massive ‘COOK OUTERS’.
It was only a few weeks ago me and a few others were saying how poor it was going in to pre-season with only 2 new signings (Evans and Burns at the time). Now don’t get me wrong, Ashton has had a massive job on his hands with regards to player recruitment, but here we are, 2 league games in to the season, still playing like a bunch of strangers and a back 4 that couldn’t look anymore disjointed if it tried. Funny though, because we was told ‘BuT tHe TRanSFeR WInDoW DOesN’t ClOsE tILl tHE ENd OF auGUSt’.
That’s all well, but carry on as we are, and come the end of August we’ll be off the pace and still technically need a pre season for the new signings to get up to speed.
All being said, I think the side picks itself now;

KVY Edmundson Burgess Coulson
Harper Evans
Edwards Fraser Chaplin
Pigott
We really need to get all them fit, get them on the training ground working together as a unit and hopefully start picking up wins and points ASAP.

I think his overall record with us is more relevant than what he's done elsewhere, as seen with other managers.
Despite that, its what he's achieved elsewhere that gives me hope we can improve this season. |
That doesn’t make much sense.
We know that last season he had no impact. Was that the players or him? Jury’s out but based on the previous 2.5 years I wouldn’t like to make the case that it was him.
Now we’ve had just several games with a completely different team to get another perspective. Again, not a case I’d like to make either way given the scant evidence.
As you say, he’s done very well elsewhere. So let’s just wait until we have something concrete to go on rather than our emotions. |  |

Oh don't get me wrong, I've disagreed with Joe on a few occasions, but we both respect each others opinions.
Chris clearly has a personal vendetta against him, and I just put it down to jealously. |

That point is made especially worthwhile in the fact that if we win Tuesday and Saturday, we’d be near the top of the league and the panicking will be ignored. It’s time for patience rather than panic at a couple of disappointing results. |  |

I mentioned yesterday - but reality is if we have lost as many games as we've won in 8 weeks time then last season will be seen as an issue.......if we are second in the league then it won't be.
No one really gave a toss that Lambert saw us put up a woeful fight against relegation when we had 27 points after 11 games on October 2019......but by the time January 2020 rolled round and we had slid out of the top 6 then it became part of the overall case against the awarding of the 5 year deal.
The squad we have now is overpowered for this level, in Cook's image, just need to pick up some wins using that quality whilst things are continuing to click to ensure atmosphere around the club remains positive until then |  |
