I see a thread where we reached an entente has now been deleted for some reason.
Just to reiterate this very important news, even me and J2 are now back on the same page in being neither overly critical nor overly supportive at this stage. We became friends in rational thinking about this season.
Surely this is a lesson the whole forum could take on board? When even cats and dogs agree, that must be a positive.
Or maybe that't the coffee and Danish pastry talking.

I deleted a post because it's unfair to talk about any former poster that can't defend themselves. Apologies if I ended the prospect of world peace as a result.

Gav, this was our no man's land moment, a true triumph of the human spirit over political adversity, creed, colour and nation.
I can only hope that future generations will be kind to you.

Being him back en.
He’s served a few days, and Saturday wasn’t even anything overboard from him tbh.

You've destroyed all the progress made at COP26 with the press of one key on a computer keyboard.
I hope you're proud.
Because of your actions, I shall light a roaring coal fire tonight and every night until the middle of March next year, and recycle as little as possible.

I don't think the weekend had anything to do with it, but a cumulative record of posting over the last months. He made the forum all about him and his opinions which may or may not be real. Anyway, like I say, we shouldn't talk about someong in their absence.

French, of course, being the preferred language of Russian aristocrats pre-Marxist bastards.
In fact, there's an interesting thing to note if you're ever in Russia and want to see how posh a shop/restaurant is. In descending order:
- French name, Roman alphabet - French name, Cyrillic - English name, Roman alphabet - English name, Cyrillic - Russian name, Roman alphabet - Russian name, Cyrillic
And while I'm on a specialist subject, Stalin attempted to force linguists of the day to attempt to reduce Russian to the roots of 'work' and 'hand'. This being impossible, of course, many hundreds of them ended up going missing somewhere in Siberia. All touched upon in Solzhenitsyn's excellent First Circle, of course. As was rudimentary voice-recognition technology used for wiretapping, which we (and by that I mean some people) pay top dollar to install in our own homes now to feed data to US tech companies.
Not even Orwell was that cynical.
I'm off for a beer.
