It's quite possible that you might find it becomes easier to go to Madeira than it is to do something locally. There is a view that once Omicron is the dominant variant there is no need to restrict overseas travel (not sure I buy into that one), but I suspect we'll have more strict restrictions within the UK itself immediately post Christmas. | | | |

Some of my friends are sonographers, radiographers and mental health nurses. All were part of the volunteer scheme to get trained as vaccinatiors for the first push to get people jabbed. Suspect they will all be asked to do shifts while their other responsibilities get bumped.
