Ah yes of course, should have thought of that match, unless we've beaten it in one of our big cup games since then.

28,233 for Hull at home in 2008 was the last highest for a league game.

Still can't win though in front of crowds over 21k. That's now 22 games since McCarthy left where we haven't won. It's an appalling statistic. I'd rather have the 3 points in front of a smaller crowd.

Mad that we had a future Premier League winner in that lineup

There were very few empty seats today. Totally agree.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

There were around 1,200 empty seats, lower Cobbold + lower West (behind the dugouts). A lot of empty seats in the away ens, perhaps 300. I was in SAR Upper, and there were 8 empty seats in and around my row (no, I did shower this morning), and I am sure that wasn't a unique experience.

So, I would guess around 26,000. A fabulous crowd for a League 1 game.

Seats behind the dugouts were never on sale as they are reserved for the subs (do keep up on what goes on at PR these days)

Yet you contradict yourself by saying there were around 1200 empty seats today, when I was at school 29005-1200=27805 and not 26000

I was there for the 0-0 2 days earlier too.

The Aston Villa 5th round tie had well over 30000 and a one or two other games that season did too, including 4th Round Liverpool, if memory serves me right.
