Yep, he wasn't bad last night, if offers come then I'm sure we would look to move him on, but if not then he's not a bad body to have around the place going into the tail end of the season, think he would be better used coming on with 20 to stretch tiring defenders. |  |

Was in corner last night and 3 muppets behind me constantly telling Jackson he was fxxking shxt. Brilliant support lol. When Jackson and Norwood first signed they were scoring for fun and we were flying. Then Lambert split them up. Neither are a line striker. They combined well for opening goal which was desperately needed. We played him because our player. | |

Same here.
Thought his pace and movement made us fairly threatening down the left for once. Certain stuff didn’t come off but his injection of pace down the left and quick ball inside to Norwood was a major part in Burns’s first goal. |  |

He was pretty poor for the majority of the game. That said he deserves credit for one pretty good ball into the box in the first half, and the pass to Norwood before the first goal. I haven't ever rated him but I was optimistic we might see a change from him yesterday. He seemed to be pleased with his involvement in the goal but that was about the strength of his enthusiasm. He's a frustrating player to watch.
Other than that though he is so static, and doesn't seem to react to the play around him. Contrast that with Burns or Bakinson and how they moved and read the game (particularly in the first half) and he looked like the obvious weak link. I remember when people used to say Jackson was quick. Well his footballing brain certainly isn't, and he very rarely moves with enough purpose to determine if he is actually pacy on the pitch.
We won and he played a part, so definitely a better performance from him for us. I won't miss him when he goes though. |  |

I agree. Jackson has never been shy on the effort front. He just didn't seem to have what we needed in a 1 striker formation. Last night he seemed to be instructed to play out wide, and he actually did pretty well there.
I believe his job last night was to pull the backline out of shape more than attacking the goal . If that was the case, he nailed it. | |
