Norwood and bonne have been missing good chances. Jackson is barely confident enough to take a shot and pigott's so off the pace he's not even getting chances. Apart from norwood being played wider left than he'd like, what about the system hasn't suited them? Lacks of crosses into the box? None of them are target men who thrive on crosses, even norwood. | |

I think people are often free and easy when it comes to discerning "attitude problems", whoever is involved.
But the "look at him spending money" definitely is a bit of a racialised trope when it comes to young black men, something we've seen in the tabloids with Raheem Sterling (amongst many others).
e.g.
Resentment of young black men with money spending it on nice clothes and cars also has a long history in British culture. You find it, for instance, in many of the interviews conducted during and after the 1958 Notting Hill Riots and in lots of the letters sent to Enoch Powell after the 1968 Rivers of Blood speech.

The Simpson outrage is an odd one. People seem t expect him to beg us to sign a new deal so he can sit on the bench or be loaned out again. He's now had a taste of first team football and probably doesn't want it to end. If he wants to go, then we need to activate his extension and get as much as we can for him before wishing him all the best. It would be sad for us but he doesn't deserve the stick. |  |
