Where does that stand in the quickest ever Town goals at home or overall?
I’m sure I’ve seen loads but only the opener at Charlton in the 3-2 nightmare springs to mind as a first minute goal. Having a complete blank on any inside 60 seconds.
Was 42 seconds but you make a good point. Would be an interesting table to compile, although not sure from where. I'm sure we've had some in the 30s before.

I had an away goal at Bradford in my mind as being really early.
Can think of plenty of early ones, including being 2-0 up against Rotherham after 6 mins but can’t think of any I know we’re definitely inside a minute.
Didn't we score after 20 seconds at Fulham in the last play-off season?
Good memory, 16 seconds according to our report.
Fulham 1-2 Town - Match Report15th Dec 2015 21:47 Freddie Sears and Brett Pitman were on target as Town beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage to win a fourth away league game on the trot for first time in more than 11 years. Sears netted after 16 seconds as the Blues made an explosive start, before Cottagers’ skipper Ross McCormack equalised with a freekick in the 14th minute, but Pitman secured the points when he turned in Sears’s cross on 57.57
And on the flip side what’s the earliest we’ve conceded at home? Seem to think v Sheff Utd in 93 when Craig Forrest was sent off at North Stand end, that was very early in the game

Game ended 0-0. Fortunately, we were able to bring on a sub keeper.
I recall Chelsea scoring down here very early mid 80's. Kerry Dixon I think. They were certainly 2 up after the first 6 or 7 mins.
Was that not the 3-0 defeat about 88ish? Think they had the red and white squared kit and Kevin Wilson was playing for them.
Or have I mixed a few games up in my mind. I was only about 8 or 9 but thought Chelsea were only down for a season before going back up.
The one I'm thinking was at PR in our 85-86 relegation season. I remember the goals going in at the Churchmans End. That's not to say a very early one went in in the game you allude to though!
So we scored after 16 and 18 seconds away in London in the same season. Blimey.
It wasn’t the same season. Murphy’s at Brentford was the year we made the playoffs but Sears was the year after I think, as Pitman scored the winner that day
I know this as I was at both, but missed Sears’ as we arrived pretty much bang on kick off and I went for a slash as ‘it’s not like anything is going to happen in the first minute’. Oh well 🙄
Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010
People have mentioned our fastest ever goal (Doug Millward after 10 seconds vs Newport at Portman Road in February 1957) and I suspect our 3rd fastest (Freddie Sears after 16 seconds at Fulham in December 2015). John Wark holds the silver medal in this category, scoring after 12 seconds at Southampton in October 1981. We lost 4-3,
