So the end of Adidas and Ipswich? 14:00 - Apr 28 with 8492 views | BonneNIL | Rumoured that the deal isn't to be renewed and an affordable alternative has been sourced. Puma coming in? They do a number of template kits for 3rd/4th division sides. https://i0.wp.com/thesefootballtimes.co/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/1LWE_OAhgprN9 I remember there being much hype around Addidas coming in, and there being a bit of disappointment when our new home kit was a reused template for Bosnia and the away was the same as a strip they were marketing for half the price for pub teams! I'd say the best home kit they did for us was 2021/22, with 2019/20 a close 2nd although the kits are basically the same. What were everyones faves?

I’m not 100% sure exactly, had heard it was some sort of print on the sleeves (maybe from one of his albums), although I’m sure somebody else said on here it was going to be all over the shirt.

So the end of Adidas and Ipswich? on 15:55 - Apr 28 by abracaDOBRA_ | I grew up with Umbro, Slazengers, lonsdales being chavy yeah, now seems to be the in fashion! |
Slazenger and Lonsdale used to be quality brands in the 80s. Now under Mike Ashley’s custodianship, they’ve become nasty cheap tat. Umbro was considered uncool until probably the early nineties when it became a bit football chic. Then Nike bought them to get access to the England kit rights, and then sold them to a conglomerate. I’ve no idea what they are like now, but I imagine they’re pretty generic.

Why would an international rip off merchant have any interest or motivation to do anything out of the ordinary.? Perhaps it’s something fairly basic the club could do themselves. |

So the end of Adidas and Ipswich? on 15:14 - Apr 28 by BlueBlood90 | Umbro would be an absolute disaster in my opinion. They're an awful brand in comparison to Adidas. Our Adidas kits have always looked great even if there hasn't been much thought put into them (same template for numerous clubs' kits) |
I must admit that I have liked the adidas kits. I get the criticism that little thought goes into them and they could be accused of being bland, but personally I like the simplicity of the kits and the iconic three stripes. As has been said elsewhere how the kit looks is immaterial if we get promoted.

Always found that the kits are always remembered based on the team anyway. Norwich's best ever season was with one of the worst kits of all time. Not that they have much taste but because of that they love it! If they'd got relegated in that kit they'd agree, with all the polls, that it's one of the worst designs ever. Always the way with kits. They really don't matter in a way, although you could argue they are important because the better they look, the more we sell and the more revenue we have to play with, but as Boris would say, that revenue is chicken feed anyway in the scheme of the incomings and outgoings.

There is nothing close to this on their generic range at the moment, do we really think Gamechanger will pay over the odds for a bespoke Umbro kit rather than the templates? https://www.umbro.co.uk/teamwear-shirts It seems they are quite selective about who's kits they are making these days and I can't say I dislike any of the main ones they do, however, none look like the 1992 shirt so it would have to be a custom jobby for Ipswich. A red/black striped away would also be a no-brainer money-wise. It could have a 92/93 theme as it's the actual anniversary of that next season, not 1991/92 Looks boring though.

I was told back when gamechanger took over that they were unhappy with our kits and were disappointed they couldnt have a say in them... wanted to make them more unique etc. The fact its based on the 92 shirt suggests hopefully they have done so
