National league playoff game. on 14:10 - May 28 with 1482 views | Chocorange | Hurst v. Cook for a place in League 2 is still on. Both have already upset the odds and won away versus 4th and 5th placed teams to get this far . Thought Hollywood team Wrexham would do it , but I see they are now losing to Hurst!
National league playoff game. on 14:10 - May 28 with 1481 views | JDB23 | 4-4 lmao, mad game. Like I said in the previous Wrexham thread on here, how many goals out of the 8 came from putting the ball in the box and attacking it with aggression? Something we don’t do nearly enough of. It’s a tactic that will always be effective.
National league playoff game. on 14:11 - May 28 with 1473 views | Swansea_Blue | I haven’t got BT, but it sounds good on the radio. I think. The Mrs has it on Radio Cymru, so I’m not exactly sure what’s going on. Back level again now.

National league playoff game. on 14:56 - May 28 with 1293 views | rkc123 | How do the national league playoffs work now? I noticed the league table on BBC has a dashed line separating the sides in 2nd and 3rd from the sides 4th to 7th, do the lower teams play an extra game before getting to a semi against the teams in 2nd and 3rd?

Top team automatically promoted as champions - Stockport County. Then, 4th plays 7th and 5th plays 6th. The winners then play 2nd and 3rd (they get home advantage because they finished highest in the league) and the winners of those semi final play offs have a final game at the London Stadium to see who gets the final promotion spot. Therefore, Grimsby are now awaiting the winners of Solihull vs Chesterfield. Phew, think that’s it!! [Post edited 28 May 2022 15:21]

With a name like that, I would have thought he would be a defender. And an over-priced one at that. (For an out of date system, to boot)

Parkinson completely ripping into the quality of referee on 15:30 - May 28 with 1130 views | unstableblue | .... can't remember such a slating They'd had him a few games previously and was shocking, and cannot believe he was given such a key game. There did seem to be some woeful decisions, and indeed Hurst called him out as well, but I wonder if the refs gaffes evened out. Wrexham had a blatant hand of god goal.

Referees at this stage of the play offs are usually promoted to referee in Leagues One and Two next season. Sounds as though the SBR stand will have plenty to say about him next season.

Definite penalty and probably a red for dangerous play, but a stonewall penalty I think this would have put Wrexham 2 goals, and if Grimsby down to ten, then it’s game over But Wrexham did have a hand of his as well But with a match having so much riding on it… you have to have decent refs
