I know this might be an unpopular opinion… but it just doesn’t do it for me.
Music wise it’s a decent track ad I understand why people want it as a club anthem, but this doesn’t scream out celebratory full time atmosphere to me? More says 1-1 draw against Preston on a chilly but bright afternoon in March as the stands quickly empty.
All for it being played at PR, but personal preference would be to have something a bit more upbeat on the full time whistle. And anything but sweet Caroline.
I remember back when we (and probably 50% of clubs) had rocking all over the world. Same era of music but was a bit more ‘football crowd’ and a little less ‘80’s indie jukebox’.

It’s definitely time. End of game after a win would be best. It just sums up everything we’ve had to live through to get to where we are now or at least hope to be. Good potential for a club song in the same vein as the mull of kintyre thing with forest, although not sure why that all started

Have been saying this for years. Would love to the chorus belted out in unison. The teenagers would probably insist on speeding it up to a point where they ruin it.

You’d rather Quo over this? Really?

I think it's totally celebratory. It's about overcoming adversity to win. It even says "get back up"!
First they take your pride, then turn it all inside, and then you realise you got nothing left to lose. So you try to stop, try to get back up, and then you realise you're telling the Story of the Blues.
The North Stand belting that out and punching the air after a win would be spine-tingling. In fact it very much fits with Ashton's 'running towards adversity' thing. An Ed Sheeran cover anyone?! Marketing gold right there IMO.

Not keen on the song when it came out, still aren't now.
