McKenna will pick them up and sort them out

It's frustrating but at least it's not a loss, it's some of the best attacking football we have played and some of the worst defending

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

When the dust settles it will be a decent away point with no major bearing on a 46-game season.

But it hasn't settled, and it feels numb.

They happen. Brighton beating Chelsea 4-1 is another.

It will ground us a little bit. If we keep winning then we may get complacent. We go again.

I would suggest we have had a number of similar situations this season, not as catastrophic as that, but Sheffield weds, Plymouth, Port vale, Charlton all in control then wilt under pressure.

The only Muff in Town.

I would say we've seen enough to not consider this a
total freak. We deserve to be where we are but we've also shown ourselves to be very vulnerable closing games out multiple times now.

It’s a freak result, but a familiar pattern. It’s happened too many times. We are good, but soft and fragile when we get in front and the opposition know it.

This game management is something for KM and the players to address as the league programme is lighter in Nov.. Five wins and a draw from seven games (16/21) is ok for a busy month, but it could and should have been so much better.

We have enough about us ability and player wise to run away with this division, but we need to sort out the above if it’s not to be the lunacy of play offs

I'm trying not to over-react but we've had too many freak results. We've bottled so many leads that it's becoming a pattern, rather than a one-off.

I agree, it was a freak result that we need to chalk off and take the point away from home against a competitive Charlton side. Dominated for large spells and should of won though.

With that said, we have conceded 11 goals this month and i hope McKenna can address this before the Cheltenham and Exeter fixtures next month, where we need to pick up maximun points.

The odd thing is our game management before Port Vale was pretty decent (Sheffield Wednesday aside). Actually, after we scored our third at Vale Park we seemed more settled too. Not sure what it is about two goal leads.

Yep.

Here and now I'm really fooking p1ssed off, but this won't have a major impact on the season.

We've got 16 points from 21 this month, repeat that return for the rest of the season and we'll be comfortable champions with 103 points.

Agree.

Of course it stings by the manner of the draw, but I’ve never seen anything like that in all my years following Town, and probably won’t again.

Around a 3rd of the season gone, and we are in a real healthy position, over the course of the season so far we have clearly done far more right than we have wrong.

Well sort of. We have a worrying history recently of giving away wins when very much in the box seat. But in balance I agree with you especially since it sounds like Walton had his first really poor game for us.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Yea sure if you want to miss out on automatic by a few points, stop saying this nonsense in the context of what happened. There is nothing decent about that, it's two points thrown away (multiple times) in the same afternoon. Especially considering it's happened before. We have too much quality and dominate teams too much to be throwing away leads like this.

No not a freak result. We can't keep a lead. Very vunerable to crosses. Couldn't defend against a big physical striker
