I also have an apology concerning one of R I P threads for Ronnie Radford, in that I suggested John Motson should be brought out of retirement for our game at Bracknell (Radlett quite rightly downvoted me) because Motty has already come out of retirement to commentate for Talksport.
They do say that a voice can get more high pitched as we age...
Why are all female pundits under the age of 30? If we're going to be more inclusive then let's see some older women on TV talking about the game. I've always thought Michaela Strachan would make a good football pundit and she must be at least 60 odd these days

I have to be honest, Fara Williams voice goes right through me, really grates horribly.
I'm all for the female pundit in general, and some are very good and an improvement on a number of their male counterparts, but my heart sinks when I see her on the telly.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
Literally every time I see a thread on here about a woman football broadcaster there is a 100% guarantee someone will be posting about how their voice "grates" or similar.
People seem to be so very quick to take issue with (generally working-class) women's voices.

Whereas I agree with your sentiments I think that Emma Hayes takes it to extremes and shouldn’t be allowed on telly.

Yeah, fair. Didn’t want to be accused of being sexist though so I ‘bigged up’ her footie knowledge.
I heard a snippet of her and Danny Mills debating it.
I do say people make you feel "sexist" by saying a female pundit isn't good. However there are plenty of male ones who talk sh!te too....! haha
I feel she's very contradictionary for example the bit I heard "players should go on form"............"I'm happy Trent is in the squad" (admittingly probably has to be in now James is injured...)

Fara Williams, Lianne Sanderson, Emma Hayes, are all Londoners and have London accents, there's nothing particularly notable about their voices beyond that.

Yeah, you're maybe missing something. Fara and Lianne have fairly extreme accents, I'd say. As another poster said, sounds a bit too gangsta.
Pretty sure Alex Scott is a Londoner. She's got a lovely voice.
