To be honest they need to get off their high horse, they have been poor for weeks and if people pay their hard earned and want to not be a happy clapper, that’s their right.

I’m in the camp that the players have been given every opportunity on and off the pitch and are letting themselves, the fans and the club down at times.

Obviously different if you break it down to technicalities, yes.
But fundamentally - it's a player having a pop at the fans, after same group of players have asked the fans to keep turning up, which they've done and the team haven't rewarded them, only doing so with a dreadful run of form.
