I’ve never started a season with no care at all (good or bad) for a fanbase and so quickly realised I hate them. You’re all absolute cocks*. The obsession you lot have with coming on this forum is laughable.
*actually one of you who posts on here seems alright tbf.

Your wage bill might be 30% of ours, but your revenue is probably that, too... Let's be honest. You should go up automatically from the position you are in atm. You are 4 years into a project, with a largely, borrowed squad. If you were to mess things up, one wonders where that would leave you next season. In that respect, it does look, from the outside, that this is a final throw of the dice, for you to get promoted from L1.There in lies the pressure, should you have a wobble.. We've seen whats happened to the likes of MKD, and Oxford.Who have knocked on the door for a few seasons, and then fallen away...Good luck to you
But if you do mess it up, I for one, wouldn't be surprised to see you struggle next season...
Absolutely 100% this ^^*^^
I fully expect Plymouth to go up this season , and yes they deserve to given their form. If we manage it also via the play offs, I know who I’d be backing to stay up.
3 weeks ago today you were 10 points above us with the same GD. Today it’s 5 and your GD is now -12 vs us. Couple that with the fact you have a history of bottling it from good positions and I can understand why you and your fellow Plymouth fans are getting a bit wobbly, as your post suggests to me.
11 Green bottlejobs sitting on a wall. I hope for your sake you don’t accidentally fall again because we’re ready to capitalise.
You believe that you’ll go up but covering yourself in case it goes tits up because the pressure you’re under tells like last season.
Really thought you wouldn’t repeat last season, let alone better it, fair play and best of luck for the rest.
The problem is you’ll be wasting a championship spot, likely lose to teams like Norwich whereas we’re oven ready for that division (maybe shouldn’t use that phrase.)
Our wage bill maybe a lot more than Plymouth’s. The money Ipswich receive from sponsorship, match day tickets and merchandise sold is also a lot more than Plymouths. Just as the money we receive from ifollow is alot more.
It’s all relative my friend.

Not quite. Our wages account for 54% of turnover.
This isn’t a throw of the dice. Final or not.
We are a well run club with the emphasis on the future.
We know there are Premiership size clubs around us and expect them to pull away from us. If that happens we will continue the project.
How many points are Whittaker, Mumba, Azaz, Matete, Cosgrove worth across a season? What happens when they all go back? Doesn't seem like a particularly stable future to me, promotion or otherwise.
Cooper and Schumacher will be in the Championship next season with or without you... Better hope you cling on!

I don't think Plymouth are under a great deal of pressure. They've improved on last season and have so far been able to fairly effortlessly keep up that tremendously solid form at home, which is the foundation of their current success. No point in freaking out over something which hasn't happened yet, namely losing the Home Park mojo. It just comes down to how well they do on the road.
In reality, Town's recent spending and desperation to get back to our natural home (Championship and above) has put more pressure on our shoulders than Plymouth are feeling - witness some of the melt-downs after disappointing results in the last few months.
“Fairly effortlessly” with the help from some very dodgy decisions by the refs in this league you mean
No, you are not under pressure. With the fixtures coming up and relatively few games remaining, it’s glass of the sparkly stuff and fat cigar time for you. You are deservedly just about there and on here to tell us how good you are with your 30% of our wage budget and injuries.
Why you are bothering I do not know. If we were in your position, I wouldn’t be the least interested in going on your forum to wind up your meagre support.

Isn’t the pressure on both teams? Or indeed on all teams at the top?
Sheffield Weds look comfortable admittedly but that could easily change if their ridiculously good run of results starts to tail off and they start feeling a little more heat. But feels like they could be out of sight shortly as the next set of games don’t exactly favour us gaining much ground. Mind you, a massive statement and potential shift if we do manage to gain a few points over the next month.

to be fair the pressure is on us to perform, but I don't fear for McKenna's future - that is secure regardless of whether we stay in L1 another year. We have the resources to sustain another challenge and there is still over 30 points to play for. We lost and drew against teams we were expected to breeze past so it can easily happen to other teams. We just have to be ruthless and ride our luck and hope that teams elsewhere cause the odd upset. I think our hardest games coming up are Barnsley (Norwood with a point to prove) and Shrewsbury.

Ok. I’ll leave you to it.
Would you guys still vote your team as the best ever league 1 as you did earlier in the season 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👋
Voting best team etc.? That's a new one on me, and I use this forum a lot.. and, er, support Town. However there's a a niggling thing for me here with all this talk of Town creating a squad and style ready for Championship, which is the bleeding obvious fact we need to get OUT of THIS bloody league.
Clearly the pressure is on both of us innit. Not to say you aren't having a cracking season cos you are and fair play. Worst of luck for the rest of it, obviously! :)
