Awful performance against possibly the worst opponent I've seen all season, they offered absolutely nothing, we could/should have scored 4 or 5 minimum, that was like watching a game during "that spell" earlier in the season.

Walton? WTF!!!! Comically bad attempt to collect that cost us a goal.

Can't think of a player in a blue shirt that came out of that game with much credit, Burns was absolute crap from start to being subbed, as was Harness.

That was our chance to cement top 2 and we f*ucked it.

To be fair, I did expect us to pick at least four points off Cheltenham this season. So two dropped.

Did you expect to take 6 off Derby? I didn’t. So 3 gained? 3 minus 2 = 1 so we are ahead! Sorry I’m being facetious, but if it was that easy to predict games there’d be no point in watching.

Cheltenham have a team of professional players. They are organised and doing ok. We have no right to beat anybody. The fact we’ve hammered most of the teams we’ve played in the last two months is exceptional, but it doesn’t mean we are going to beat everybody forever.

Perhaps a little credit to the opposition is in order.

… our recent performances

Yet here we are

It was difficult conditions and yet we completely dominated and carved out what 4 or 5 brilliant chances, including hitting the bar

We deserved to win

We weren’t at our very best, but a narrow pitch and 40mph winds don’t suit

Shut up you d!ck and support the team

"Awful performance". It lacked our recent fluidity and pace.
"Worst opponent you have seen all season"? Really? No exaggeration there! They were well organised, effective in time wasting that the ref did nothing about. They are 16th in the table 19 points clear of Fleetwood. Even Burton (level on points with them) looked far worse.
"they offered nothing" apart from a threat from set pieces, hitting the post as well as Alfie May always having the potential to score. They pressed and didn't simply sit back.
Walton had a dreadful rick for the goal and made another poor decision shortly after but he has been solid for 8-9 matches before that and set up a great goal for us recently.
Burns was far from crap. Harness didn't look great.

An unexpected point gained on Plymouth. 2 points dropped on Wednesday who we still have a game in hand on.

6 matches to go. It is still in our own hands. COYB!

Think I’d have said an “ awful game” . Obviously weather conditions made for that. I do feel they dealt with it better, and capitalised on the defensive c ock up.

We go again but ever game is a must win, given that our opponents at the top appear on paper to have the easier of fixtures. This going down to the wire.

Given that we completely controlled the second half and created three or four big chances whilst they relied on a goalkeeping error to score, in what way did they deal with the conditions better?

I did expect six points off Derby at the start of the season considering the shambles they were in, but would have taken a point from the Pride Park game when it came around. Same with Bolton away, but expected to beat them at home so that balances out. Then we have Cheltenham twice and Fleetwood at home...

So did you expect us to drop points against anybody at the start of the season? Clearly not, so we should be on 120 points. Yep, we are well off the pace. Heartbreaking.

You are getting confused between what you are desperate to happen/expect to happen every week with what in reality happens in football seasons. We've just got 25 points out of the last 27 available and you are using words like 'embarrassing'.

I am still not 100% certain what he really wants to happen! Seems happiest to shout loudest when things don't go our way.

Is Lincoln at home easier than Cheltenham away?

We just need to win our games. Even if they both win all of theirs (they won't), that would still be enough for us to be up.

Get a grip. Such statements after an away draw following 8 wins are absolutely ridiculous.

You're the person that plays Football Manager, gets a point at Cheltenham, so turns it off without saving and keeps playing until you win every game of the season.

Points get dropped. Players can't be 9 or 10 out of 10 every week. One point gained, Plymouth lost.

Christ, call yourself a supporter?

To be fair. There were some really embarrassing moments in that game. Only hirst was any good really. Cheltenham were awful. Harness and burns misses were terrible and we nearly gifted them more than one goal. All at sea in defence. It was very similar to earlier performances in the season.

Having said that we have been so good recently it's hard to criticise

Re-read my post and see if it says I expected us to drop points against anyone.

In all honesty, Burnley’s current record in the Championship is around where I expected us to be considering the players and money at our disposal. Eight points may not be much but it means we’re in a scrap rather than having a healthy advantage.
