In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I see you haven’t changed. Still making really dumb strawman arguments.

The 3 p.m. blackout in the UK will have to go eventually. It doesn't even make much sense any more. What's stopping most fans going to games today is cost and availability. I don't really have a dog in this fight as being located in the US I haven't had those issues but if I get back home this year on holiday, I'm not sure I'll even be able to get a ticket for one of the maybe two games I'll be there for.

Actually going to the game will always be preferable for most people if they can make it. It's so much more than 90 mins of football. Allowing clubs to stream 3 p.m. games I think would be of benefit to most at all levels.*

Glad to see the spirit of reconciliation and happiness.

You've been away from my missives for so long you don't understand what a strawman argument is.

But you've always been dumb.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

You've never broken the law then?

Literally just tonight I got a speeding ticket. Going 37 in a 25 zone. I picked the wrong day to sit in judgement.

If they were working class heroes they'd be doing it for free, not profiting to the tune of £7m!

Like it or not he has a valid point. By giving criminal gangs money, they are helping them (the criminals) to fund their lifestyle.

Yes and you can be sure they aren’t giving 40pc of the proceeds to HMRC, I’m sure they use our hospitals and roads though!

"One of them, Christopher Felvus, 36, was also found guilty of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children, discovered on his computer."

Question answered.

He'll probably get punished more heavily from streaming football than being a nonce. Messed up justice system.

You are against all taxes?

You wish for their to be no public services nor form of Government whatsoever.

Oh, come on. We don't need a Health Service; children don't need an education, etc, etc.

It is organised crime and needed firm action - although 11 years for illegal streaming seems a bit much, convicted rapists get less.

Glad they chose to not go after the end users though. And the 'gap in the market' is a fair point - there should be more legal ways to view these games.

As do many people in the country who hide and stick money elsewhere so they don’t need to.

Some of them in powerful positions in governments.

Yeah I'm intrigued by this.

Against all taxes?!
Going by this ones previous posting history I can only assume he's a well off 'I'm alright Jack' Tory.

No reply from them at all.

What the argument of the 'I'm alright Jack' Tory misses is that everyone (even them) benefits from a healthy, well run society. They won't get the same productivity and benefits without good public services. They will also have family, friends and acquaintances who would suffer greatly from lack of them.

This 'I'm alright Jack' Tory line is very short-sighted.

Which is why I'm not Tory.

I can understand those who are though. It's a dog-eat-dog world, I can understand the draw to protect your own first. My own dad's like that, Lady Dollers' entire family is like that, our own lovable Glassers is like that. Particularly when you're well off, protect what you have, why wouldn't you?

Thing is, if we all look after each other then you don't really need to protect your own, everyone's in a good place. I do realise that's a somewhat unrealistic utopia though.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Criminals. They knew what they were doing, got caught, jail. Simple really. There’s nothing heroic about stealing in any way, shape or form.

The PL stole football from the working class years ago, sadly.

I'm not sure what they'd go after the end users for. The offence, as I understand it, is "making available", not the actual act of watching it.

Happy to be told I'm wrong.

Not because I have one, of course....

If football was the sport of the working classes and was affordable- how come, compared to now, not that many people went?

I'm pretty sure if you go far back enough before the days of health and safety, there were some colossal crowds at big football matches.

Thats true but the end users are enabling the criminals, so although its not an offence it is morally wrong.
