That would leave us with just two forwards as Jackson is considered as a winger and Ahadme isn't in KM's immediate plans.
We need a minimum of 3 quality strikers in the squad plus another as back up. I wouldn't sell Ladapo.
Can't see us carrying four strikers when we only play one up top. Think Broadhead potentially provides additional cover there and would expect us to have two senior strikers vying for the one starting spot.

They do always cost more - that is true.
He’s not mobile at all, in fact that was Sunderland fans assessment of him - he needed a player close to him due to his lack of mobility - and that was the similar assessment from Everton fans.
Did have a solid return in his short time at Sunderland, but far far from a £3.5M player.
£1M-£1.5M is that absolute cap I’d be paying for him.

If KM and the recruitment guys reckon he’s what we need who are we to argue? I think they’ve all earns the right to be trusted. Of course they’ll get some lemons, every club does, and I appreciate its every fans right to have another opinion, but I’m not a fan of second guessing every decision they make.

I was thinking of the fourth as being someone from the academy. We definitely need three main strikers, which is where we were in August last year with Ladapo, John Jules and Ahadme.

You said none of the players had done well in the Championship - that simply isn’t true.
All 3 had performed well in the Championship.
You're setting the bar pretty low in your definition of done well then! As from my perspective being dropped then sold to the league below (Clarke), starting 7 games in a season (Davis) and only making it over 60 minutes in under half the games for a terrible team in Wigan does not indicate you are playing that well. This is in no way a slant on all 3 players who I like, but looking at it from the perspective of value for buyers at the time of purchase it is true they had not performed well in the Championship, Simms has.

John-Jules was more flexible cover really, played more as a 10 than up front. Worth noting we let Ahadme go out on loan and were happy with just Hirst and Ladapo at the back end of the season. Think it'll be similar again, two senior strikers, and the third probably being someone who is more a 10 but can cover up top if needed. Broadhead might even fit the bill for that role.

Simms has played 17 games in the Championship at the age of 22. I think you’re getting a little bit carried away.
Can agree to disagree.

in case anyone hasn't seen what Rak-Sakyi did last season...
He looks great.
Also highlights how well we were playing at the end of the season. NTT20 pod highlighted him as being able to do something against us before the match but he did nothing because we were so far on top.

Had a blatent penalty not awarded at 0-2 tho!
Wonder if we'd see him more playing behind the striker as opposed to a Burns rival at wing back.
