obviously you never saw him live and what he brought to the team, the guy was a magician. pick a pass from nowhere, effortlessly dribble pass players, impossible to tackle

I kinda felt he had to be based in what we achieved whilst he was in the team. He doesn't quite compare in quality to some no.

Agree with you. Massively overrated for what he actually did. Had a good touch and whatever else (as you would expect) but didn't do a lot did he? I think being on loan from Inter Milan doesn't help! haha

Agree. Compared to some of the other loan players mentioned, Hirst has only had good games in L1, whereas some of the others were good in the championship and even the PL.

How do you know I never saw him? You are completely wrong. Magician? Are you having a laugh? Why didn't he then make any impact at all? Why were we so hopeless then in midfield? Finidi and Sereni have been scapegoated by some for that season whereas Peralta barely gets any criticism. [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 15:01]

Peralta was class to be fair and he was one of a very few bright moments in that relegation season. Finidi and Serena didn't live up to expectation but the same can't be said for Sixto.

I make frimmers right on this one. If a loan player’s purpose is to make an impact then Hirst absolutely should be in the list.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not Loved the way he moved on and off the ball, drifted so easily with it, looked effortless. Sereni was a pre-Madonna, Finidi never lived up to the hype apart from the 1st game hat trick. Magnefito Sixto will live in memory forever

I wouldn't count Murphy as he had his best spells for us once he'd signed permanently.

What did you expect from Finidi and Sereni then? They carried that team on their own as the rest of them were very bad. Without both of them we would have had a repeat of 1994/95? Finidi scored a good number of goals from us. What better did you get from Peralta? He'd stroll in that midfield and was ineffective.

I'm absolutely serious. He was slow and ineffective. Obviously you don't know the facts given that crap you are saying about Finidi. It wasn't even hat-trick in his first game at Portman Road. It was 2 goals , so get your facts right first ! [Post edited 19 Jun 2023 15:29]

Apologies , i just remember the LB having to come off at half time after being torn a new one. he was miles ahead of Jim, tommy miller and Ambrose at that time. Him and Holland in CM complimented each other beautifully. Go back , watch some film, watch the magician at work. Finidi just looked like he gave up that season, realised that the European team was an oversell
